Q1. What is one pressing issue facing your country/region:

  • Ohara: Chất lượng không khí ở Nhật Bản giảm do chính sách kiểm soát phát thải. Nguồn phát thải ONKK chính ở Nhật là nông nghiệp.
  • G. Lin:
    • Đài Loàn bị bị ảnh hưởng ONKK từ Trung Quốc. Có nhiều nghiên cứu sự di chuyển của PM2.5 từ TQ sang Đài Loan.
    • Đài Loan bị ảnh hưởng bởi việc đốt nông nghiệp từ các nước Đông Nam Án (dự án 7-SEAS)
  • Narisa:
    • PM là thành phần chính gây ONKK ở Thái Lan.
    • Lý do: đốt sinh khối, đô thị hóa, giao thông,
    • Chính phủ đã có kế hoạch để giảm ONKK:
  • Mylene:
    • Mưa là yếu tố khí hậu chính của Philippines
    • Lý do gây ONKK chủ yếu là con người.
  • Nina Yulianti (Indonesia):
    • Nguồn phát thải ONKK chủ yếu là cháy rừng và cháy nông nghiệp
    • 60% phát thải từ cháy rừng và cháy nông nghiệp

  • G. Lin: find out source of PM2.5
  • Narisa: find out source of PM2.5, BC
  • Mylene: prediction of rainfall in the Philippines
  • Nina Yulianti (Indonesia):  tập trung vào forest fire, wild fire, peat land fire.

Q3. What is needed to enable the research?

  • Ohara: Research Budget, international cooperation
  • G. Lin: leadership and funding
  • Narisa: capacity building
  • Mylene: funding, observation: remote sensing, in-situ,
  • Nina Yulianti (Indonesia):  consideration of policy maker in applying research results to policy.
