Tiếp đón đối tác Hoa Kỳ_Công ty Applied GeoSollution

Ngày 21/09/2014, Trung tâm Công nghệ tích hợp liên ngành Giám sát hiện trường đã có buổi làm việc và tiếp đón Tiến sĩ William Salas, Chủ tịch Công ty Applied GeoSollution (Hoa Kỳ).

Tham gia tiếp đón gồm Chuyên gia cao cấp GS.TS. Mai Trọng Nhuận- cố vấn của Trung tâm FIMO cùng đại diện của FIMO PGS. TS. Nguyễn Hải Châu, TS. Nguyễn Thị Nhật Thanh và các thành viên Trung tâm. Tại buổi tiếp đón, hai bên đã trao đổi về học thuật sử dụng công nghệ viễn thám trong việc theo dõi lúa. Nội dung xoay quanh phương pháp theo dõi lúa từ ảnh vệ tinh quang học (MODIS) và theo dõi lúa từ ảnh Radar; trình bày về phương pháp mô hình hóa, áp dụng mô hình DNDC trong tính toán lượng phát thải CH4 từ canh tác lúa. TS. William Salas có bài diễn thuyết giới thiệu về khung cấu trúc của hệ thống mô hình tính toán phát thải CH4 từ lúa với nội dung Xây dựng hệ thống cập nhật cơ sở dữ liệu thực địa (sử dụng mobile, smartphone); hệ thống Cơ sở dữ liệu cho mô hình tính phát thải CH4 và hệ thống WEBGIS cung cấp các kết quả của mô hình.

Hai bên thỏa thuận hợp tác, phát triển trong việc nâng cao năng lực của nghiên cứu lúa phục vụ tính toán phát thải trong bối cảnh biến đổi khí hậu thông qua các khóa đào tạo ngắn hạn các công nghệ, phương pháp theo dõi lúa và mô hình hóa tính CH4. Trong thời gian tới, hai bên mong muốn được hợp tác lâu dài và xây dựng các dự án hợp tác nâng cao năng lực cho Trung tâm FIMO.
